In this section, we will explore the evolution of marble from past to present. \n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n  The discovery and use of this historic natural stone date back to ancient times. In <strong>Turkey<\/strong>, excavations in <strong>Ephesus<\/strong> revealed the first <em>blade gang saw<\/em> used in block cutting, dating back to the <strong>2nd century A.D.<\/strong>\n<\/p><\/p>\n<p><p>\n  Similarly, near <strong>Sel\u00e7uk (\u0130zmir)<\/strong>, traces of the <em>first prototype of wire cutting<\/em> were discovered in ancient quarries.\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n  These findings serve as strong evidence that <strong>natural marble processing technology<\/strong>\u2014and therefore the practice of <strong>marble craftsmanship<\/strong>\u2014has existed in the lands of Turkey for approximately <strong>2,000 years<\/strong>.\n<\/p><\/p>\n<p><p>\n  In marble production, <strong>Marmara Island<\/strong> and <strong>Afyon-\u0130scehisar<\/strong> were key centers that exported marble to all Mediterranean countries during the \n  <strong>Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman<\/strong> periods.\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n  The use of <strong>natural stones<\/strong> as building and decorative materials around the world has significantly increased the production of \n  <strong>travertine<\/strong> and other <strong>natural stones<\/strong>.\n<\/p><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-26467\" src=\"https:\/\/hurok.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/render-son_Ss_S-500x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hurok.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/render-son_Ss_S-500x400.jpg 500w, https:\/\/hurok.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/render-son_Ss_S-1000x800.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/hurok.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/render-son_Ss_S-768x614.jpg 768w, https:\/\/hurok.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/render-son_Ss_S-1536x1229.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/hurok.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/render-son_Ss_S.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><h2>The Evolution of Marble<\/h2><\/h2>\n<p><p>\n  Alongside the increase in production, the <strong>technology<\/strong> used in the industry continues to advance day by day.\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n  The growing preference for <strong>natural marble<\/strong> in construction materials by <strong>architects and interior designers<\/strong>\u2014combined with its more attractive pricing compared to synthetic alternatives\u2014continues to boost <strong>global demand for natural stone<\/strong>.\n<\/p><\/p>\n<p><p>\n  Located along the <strong>Alp-Himalaya mountain belt<\/strong>, <strong>Turkey possesses some of the world\u2019s largest marble reserves<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n  According to research, approximately <strong>40% of global marble reserves<\/strong> are found within Turkey\u2019s borders.\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n  The country is home to <strong>over 80 different structural types<\/strong> and more than <strong>120 varieties of marble<\/strong>, distinguished by their unique colors and patterns.\n<\/p><\/p>\n<p><p>\n  With increasing global awareness of environmental issues and challenges brought on by modern life\u2014such as \n  <strong>radioactive emissions<\/strong>, <strong>synthetic and chemical building materials<\/strong>, and \n  <strong>soil infertility<\/strong>\u2014there is a growing trend among societies to return to the use of \n  <strong>natural building materials<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n\n<p>\n  This trend indicates that <strong>Turkey<\/strong>, which has <strong>significantly rich natural stone reserves<\/strong>, \n  is likely to see a continued rise in <strong>marble exports in the future<\/strong>.\n<\/p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u0130n\u015faat alan\u0131ndan, dekorasyona, g\u00fczel sanatlara kadar kullan\u0131m alan\u0131 fazla olan mermerin d\u00fcnden bug\u00fcne de\u011fi\u015fimini inleyece\u011fiz.
